Happy Holidays from me to you!

2015 has been a very busy and exciting year - filled with tours that took me from the Atlantic to the Pacific and back again, many shows (just shy of 100!!!), and meeting amazing people all around this wonderful country.

Thank you so much for your support over this past year. I couldn't have done all this crazy stuff without you.

I look forward to a very exciting 2016, starting with me heading into the studio January 2nd - keep your eyes and ears peeled for updates as I record my full-length album!

Until then, here is a video of me and a few members of my band playing "Never Too Late" in Edmonton's River Valley on a beautifully warm autumn day. Big thanks to Evan with Live in YEG for filming this for us!

Thank you and have a wonderful holiday season filled with joy and love,

Last time I was in Vancouver I met this guy in Stanley Park:

I wonder if I'll see him again? Or the starfish that is in his mouth?

Only time will tell.

See you soon,

NEW Live Video(s)!

Hello!

Hope you all had a great summer! Things are rocking over here at "Lindsey Walker Central" (that's what I call my old oak desk located by my cat's food dish where I am typing this from)!
I am pleased as punch to share with you two videos that I recorded with The Northern Sessions here in Edmonton over the summer, and I am delighted with how they turned out. Below are links to two tracks (which will also be on my next album) - Falling Tree, and Falling In Your Light!

Summertime and the living is ... busy

Hello!

The summer is always a busy time for me, but not always in the way you would assume. I use this time to work my little tush off and prepare for the autumn and winter months ahead. Now don't get me wrong - I love the summer and I take advantage of it fully. See that crazy woman running through the sprinklers in your neighbourhood? That's me. I also do a bunch of landscaping for homes in the fine city of Edmonton, which keeps me in the sun (and out of trouble) for extensive periods of time. I have even posted a selfie of me on the job:

LOOK AT HOW MUCH I LOVE CLEANING YARDS

So for the next little while, I will still be playing shows, but I will mainly be working away in this lovely city. I will also be getting my ducks in a row to record this fall, as I have just received a grant to help with the recording costs! I am extremely grateful for the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group, as well as FACTOR for assisting me with my next album. I can't wait to share it with you - it's going to be really great!

Until the next time I have a break from cutting grass and running through sprinklers,

The Canadian Songwriter Challange

I am currently finishing up my 5 week tour here in beautiful Winnipeg, and I have some amazing news to share with you.

I have been chosen to be one of 9 Albertan artists to participate in Bell Media's 2015 Canadian Songwriter Challenge!

This is a great honour, and I cannot tell you how excited I am to participate in it. Over the course of 3 days, we will be working together with the amazing Justin Gray (he is an amazing LA - based songwriter that has worked with Mariah Carey, John Legend, and Amy Winehouse, amoung others) to co-write songs together. I honestly am peeing with excitement!

Massive thanks goes out to Alberta Music for this grand opportunity. Those cats are aces.

  • I've challenged myself to swim 100 kilometres this year. I don't know if that's a lot or not too much, but we shall see. I love swimming a lot, and I find that it is the only way I can let go of my racing mind. If my mind wanders, and occasionally it does, my stroke waivers and I start to struggle. It's a great way for me to focus. I hope everyone finds at least one thing they can do that they love and that brings them peace 🏊🏼❤️
